How do i know if my emu boots are sheepskin or suede?

My boots are a little over a month old but with everyday use with people walking all over them they need to be cleaned. So I bought some Emu cleaner at Macy's and there are two different directions, one for suede and one for sheepskin but I don't know which one to use. I don't have the box or anything that they came in, and on the inside label it states "wool lining" and "suede upper" but that doesn't make any sense to me. Please help!
