How to use Clindamycin Phosphate Topical Lotion?

The clindamycin phosphate topical lotion should be applied in a thin layer to your face and other affected areas 2x a day. You should wash your face first. If you are currently using cleansers that contain things like salicyclic acid, glycolic acid, or even benzoyl peroxide I would stop using them for awhile. The clindamycin lotion can be kind of drying and may cause redness and peeling at first, these ingredients will only irritate your skin further. I would use a gentle cleanser such as Cetaphil or even unscented Dove. (Target and other drugstores make a generic Cetaphil that's less expensive.) This product does work (I use it myself) but it may take up to two weeks to see the full results. Has your doctor ever suggested that you should also use a prescription retinoid such as Retin A or Tazorac? Retinoids do wonders for acne prone skin and keep you looking young. I'm 36, I've used retinoids for years and I have no lines or wrinkles and my skin looks years younger.
