Mixed signals, does he or doesnt he like me?

Okk, so here is an extremely shortened overview! We talk quite a bit, Ive know him awhile, I asked him who he likes, he said he wasnt having a super social summer and itd be limited to youth group. So I asked who in youth group, he said if he had (notice he said had which bugs me but im probably yzing too much) to date a girl in youth group itd be me cus he can really only talk to me and Im the funnest. Then we go on a 2 hour long walk, he wants me to try on his sweat shirt, he walks me home and hugged me at the end and we flirted the whole time and he admitted to looking down my shirt and looking at my legs. Plus other cute moments. But then he nvr txted me back when I texted him later tht day. Now hes gone on a 2 week trip (its 1.5 weeks ovr) and still wen i txt him every few days, no reply. I know he has ignored me before, he told me so, but nvr this long. He may have forgot his phone but if he didnt, do guys usually ignore girls wen theyre on trips? Do you think he likes me anyway? I know he practically said he did, but the way he said makes it sound like in the school year it might change and he didnt actually say it. Is he just being to timid to bluntly admitt he likes me? Eill it change wen school starts? ( we went to different middle schools, but gonna go to the same high school) Sorry I shortened this as much as I could, but details are necessary.
